Jazz Cats
Catering opened for business on November 1, 2008 in Vancouver, B.C. As the owner
of Jazz Cats, my goal is to combine my passions for jazz music and for food.
At a very early age I would watch
my Mom prepare meals for our family and special evening parties for family and friends. As a young teenager, I enjoyed preparing
gourmet meals for my family with particular attention to presentation. In fact, by the age of 16, I was planning all dinner
menus, doing the grocery shopping and cooking the dinners for our family of five.
My youngest son Jeffrey picked
up on this passion and is now a Red Seal Chef here in Vancouver.
My Dad loved Jazz music and it was often heard
throughout our house. However, it was not until later in life – as an adult, that I really began to explore and
enjoy jazz. For me, it is both energizing and relaxing at the same time.
By combining my passions, dreams and skills,
I hope to create a unique catering experience for you. I’ve introduced musical themes – for example –
afternoon tea scones shaped like musical notes or instruments.
We have a wide selection of Jazz recordings which
are available for background music at your event, if you so wish. If you’d really like to increase the impact of your
special event, the Jazz Cats Trio is available to provide musical entertainment. Joanne Clifton, Owner
